Edward Hopper was an American painter who gained recognition as a central exponent of American Scene painting.
I was struck by his use of strong lines and perspective. There is a sense of quiet desperation and loneliness exhibited not only by the figures depicted in the paintings but also the landscape and architecture.
Don't forget to submit your Witku for the contest before it's too late. Only 1 week left to write a funny haiku and try to tickle my funny bone.
